2) About the Paper in INTO Course of EAP 508
This paper is the literature review assignment for EAP 508. With the attempt of a preliminary understanding of Chinese nonprofit sector, I believe that this paper will show my thinking of the cross-national nonprofit sector. Here is the introduction for this paper:
“While the future arts managers are expected to bring professional skills to contribute to arts organizations, it is an indispensible step for these young generations to establish a thorough understanding of the broader nonprofit organization world in which the nonprofit arts organizations are living. In particular, the distinctive history and regime of China has shaped a much unique nonprofit sector and thus urge the Chinese arts managers to be familiar with the Chinese nonprofit organizations. What’s more, it is China’s increasingly dependence on nonprofit organizations that has claimed the arts managers’ attention, and China’s status as one of the world’s biggest demographic countries makes the necessity to develop the Chinese nonprofit organizations. This paper will analyze characteristics and challenges of nonprofit organizations in China. The better understanding of the characteristics and current situation of the Chinese nonprofit organizations is to serve as a first-step or stimulus towards the more systematic considerations of the Chinese nonprofit organizations.”
